Bulldog Original Moisturiser Review

Bulldog is a men’s grooming brand that’s seemingly crept up on all of us over the last few years and overtaken the shelves of UK supermarkets, pharmacies and places like Boots and Superdrug. It’s everywhere! And that’s a good thing because most of their products that we’ve tried are really good. So here’s our Bulldog Original Moisturiser Review.

In this review, we’re looking at their Original Moisturiser, which is slightly less expensive than their anti-ageing version – we’ll review that one another time.

The Moisturiser

It’s a moisturiser but it’s not got that thin, watery feel that you get with some cheaper (and more expensive) brands. Bulldog’s Original Moisturiser is nice and thick and the tube feels really tactile, for some reason.

There’s no real discernible scent; it’s just very subtle and ‘fresh’ smelling, if anything. But I know for me the smell is quite low on the list of priorities from a moisturiser, unless it’s overwhelmingly floral or similar.

As previously mentioned, the consistency of the moisturiser is nice and thick, so when you apply it to your face, you get a sense of it really doing its job well. It melts away into your skin very quickly, and leaves a soft moist glow for a minute or so until it dries. It’s definitely not oily but leaves your skin feeling really soft and well…moist. I’d say it lasts a for the whole day and isn’t something you’d need to re-apply unless you showered or washed your face obviously.

If you’ve ever used a face product with aloe in it, you’ll notice this in Bulldog’s Original Moisturiser – you really can’t beat it for its soothing qualities. It’s great for after your shave. Two of the other main ingredients include camelina (oil) and green tea, which is a natural antioxidant for your skin.

Bulldog pride themselves on the fact that they only use natural ingredients in their products. Something that everyone should be happy about.

Ingredients list: Aqua (Water), Ethylhexyl palmitate, Caprylic/capric triglyceride, Glycerin, Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, Sorbitan stearate, Sodium polyacrylate, Pentaerythrityl distearate, Phenoxyethanol,Camelina sativa seed oil, Sodium stearoyl glutamate, Parfum (Fragrance)*, Benzoic acid,Carbomer, Tocopheryl acetate, Dehydroacetic acid, Amorphophallus konjac root extract,Limonene, Camellia sinensis (Green tea) leaf extract, Evernia prunastri (Oakmoss) extract,Linalool, Citronellol, Geraniol, Sodium hydroxide, Potassium sorbate, Sodium benzoate,Tocopherol, Citric acid, *a blend of natural ingredients.

You can’t really complain about the price of Bulldog stuff – it’s pretty fair considering their all natural approach. This Original Moisturiser has a RRP of £6.99, but you can normally grab it at around £4.99 on Amazon or sometimes Bulldog have a buy one get one free in the supermarkets or Superdrug stores. It’s always worth stocking up when you find it at a cheaper price.

Our Bulldog original moisturiser review is not yet done! Where can I find this great moisturiser, we hear you say? Well, you can find this stuff almost everywhere. Amazon, Boots, Tesco, Superdrug, Waitrose all stock it. The fact that it’s a decent product, at a good price and is available everywhere makes it a must-have in your skincare arsenal.
